Six Degrees of Zak and Wyn

Hi y'all!

Things here haven't been terribly exciting, unless you count daddy's numerous attempts at making homemade food for me. So far I like the peas he made better than peas from the jar. I wasn't a huge fan of the turkey/pea combo that he concocted the other day, and fresh avocado made me gag. I haven't tried his sweet potatoes yet, but I'm looking forward to them because I already like the ones in the jar, so I know I'll gobble his up.

Anyway, since there aren't any cute pictures of me to look at, I'm going to direct you to the blog of my soon-to-be-famous buddies Zak and Wyn. They have really exciting news. And to think, I can say I knew them when.

Please Pass the Peas, Please

My assessment of peas:

To play with? Lots of fun.

To eat? Not so much.

Big Boy!

Hi all! I just got back from the lady that jams cold needles into my thighs. Before she gave me that little treat, she told me that I now weigh 18 lbs, 12 oz., I'm 27.5 inches long, and my head is 19 inches around. My height and weight are in the 75th percentile, but my noggin is in the 90th. It's all those brains I'm storing.

Solid! Day 2

I'm an old pro at this now, and boy is it a hoot!

Solid!

I turned six months old on Saturday, and that meant I could finally start eating solids! We started with rice cereal, just for practice, but I fully intend to move on to bigger and better things in the next few days. All in all it was moderately enjoyable.

Dr. Dad

To me he'll always be dad. You can call him "Dr."

Shout Out to My Gran

Thanks, Gran, for showing me how much fun it is to play with napkin rings on a glass-top table. We improvised at home with a high chair and Roll-a-Rounds. Good times!

Upright!

There is no photo documentation, but I just thought I'd let you know that I had my first outing in a shopping cart today. Mom and Dad pulled out the Floppy Seat, stuck me in, and away we went. I only tipped over a few times, but that was because I was trying to chew on the side of the cart.

We also bought my first sippy cup and my first spoons. Rumor has it I'll be eating more than just at mom's pretty soon.
