Magnificent Obsession

My father has an obsession. He can't stop putting cloth diapers and cloth diaper accessories on my head. He claims he likes cloth diapers because they're easier on the environment and cheaper than disposable diapers. I think he just likes to put them on my head.

Exhibit A:
This picture was taken just after I turned three months old. You can see the beginnings of the addiction here. This is just one of several photographs I have the document the problem early one.

Exhibit B:

Ten months later it is easy to see how the problem has grown. He now makes sailor hats out of diapers. It makes me feel a little bit better that he also puts the diapers on his head, but there is no photographic evidence of this fact.

I think I'm going to order a Peter Potty for myself so I can be rid of the diapers once and for all, although I'm not sure that will stop him.

Don't You Wish He Was Your Cousin?

You should have seen the look on mom's face when my cousin David brought over my Christmas present. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry. You can imagine her relief when David explained that it was the only box he had in which to wrap a present. Inside was an awesome Chicago Cubs T-shirt that belonged to David when he was my size.

Christmas, Part III

The day after Christmas we went to Gran and Mike's house and had Christmas all over again!
Is this the coolest thing you've ever seen? My very own tractor and my first set of keys. There's a cell phone, too, but a boy can only manage so many things at once.
Here I am again...a boy and his tractor.
But here's what really turns my crank--a Swiffer! I can't believe Gran's been holding out on me all this time! She's got the best toy I've ever seen and she's only just now let me use it!
If I can only convince mom to get me one...

Christmas, Part II

On Christmas Eve my Pop came to visit. He went to church with us on Sunday morning. We seriously considered going to church on Christmas Eve, too, but decided instead to stay home and get really excited about Christmas morning.
Here's what I saw when I woke up.
Because I am a master shredder, I had no problem tearing into all of my presents. Here I am opening my gift from my friends the Hunts.
And because I'm such a big helper I assisted Pop with getting the toys out of their packages.

We finished the day by playing a lot and by having yummy Christmas dinner. I had duck, broccoli, and squash casserole. I heard there was apple pie after I went to bed but, you guessed it, I didn't get any.
