Like I Always Say

A man can feel good about what he's eating when he's pulled it out of his own backyard.

Two Years Old!

That's what I say now whenever someone asks me how old I am!

And it's true!

I just turned two!

My friends the Frenches sent me presents! Pop and I played with the goats and chickens all afternoon!

And when I woke up on Saturday my house had been transformed into a birthday wonderland!
My friend Charlie let me borrow his bounce house and I brought all of my pushing and riding toys outside for everyone to use.
Then it was time for lunch. My Pop slaved over a hot grill to make sure there were plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone!
Then...the cake! Vati made a carrot cake and mom decorated it with lots of obnoxious noise-making toys. All my friends had fun picking the toys off. I just kept trying to redecorate it.

Pretty soon everyone went home for naps, and when I woke up there more presents! Grandpa gave me my very own rolling luggage, Gran gave me a new jacket and a hammering set, and Pop gave me a tricycle (not pictured).
On my real birthday Mama and Vati gave me a puzzle with the Very Hungry Caterpillar and a helmet to go with the new tricycle.
Even Clare got in on the fun!

Never mind that I'm not wearing pants and that my shirt is soaking wet. Vati goes to work and that's where I'm headed, too. That'll show him to leave his computer at home.
