Christmas Recap, Finale
The day after Christmas we headed to Gran and Mike's house to have more Christmas! Here I am with Gran's tree...and my Halloween shirt. That's what happens when Vati dresses me.
Check out my new ride! Oh, how I love my wagon. Gran took me around the neighborhood the next day. Have I mentioned that I love my wagon?
Here are Mama and Clare relaxing after all of the mayhem. We hope that you had a great Christmas, too!

Christmas Recap, Part III
OK, so here's the crazy thing...would you believe that not everything under the tree is a puzzle? Sometimes there are Legos and Lincoln Logs, too!
And if you're really sly you can steal your sister's new caterpillar.
Here I am trying on Vati's new muck boots.
Finally we were almost finished opening presents and had Christmas dinner. We had roast duck, stuffing, green beans, baked potatoes, and lemon meringue pie! Yum!Saturday, January 12, 2008
Christmas Recap, Part II
We stayed busy on Christmas Eve. Mom and I started early making Christmas cookies. Here I am in my new apron (Thanks, Mrs. Janine) taking a break from all of the mixing and sifting.
Then it was time for rolling. Mom thinks I have pretty good technique. It was a little hard since mom didn't let the dough chill long enough. We'll cut her some slack, though. She's no Vati when it comes to baking.
We managed to cut out a few cookies but then just improvised when the dough got too sticky to keep cutting. Pop and I decorated them.
Here's our tree on Christmas Eve!
I got to open one present on Christmas Eve, just because Vati and Mama knew I would be a little overwhelmed by tomorrow's load. This present is from Pop.
A puzzle! Someone must have told Pop that my newest (read: only) favorite thing to do these days are puzzles!Monday, January 07, 2008
Christmas Recap, Part I
Moving right along, now that Mama has a chance to organize our pictures...
We had lots of fun getting ready for Christmas. The week before Christmas Vati and I went to buy a Christmas tree! I had lots of fun picking it out, at least more fun than this guy had digging it up. After Christmas we planted it in the yard so we can remember Clare's first Christmas.
Then just a few days before Christmas my playgroup friends and I got together for a party. Vati made real gingerbread men for me to decorate. Can you believe he even shared the beaters with me?

I shared some with my friend Isabel.
Clare hung out on the floor most of the time, but our friend Olivia kept her company.

Thanksgiving Recap
Yeah, yeah, so it's already January and we're just now getting around to telling you about Thanksgiving. Give us a break. We're busy kids.
We spent Thanksgiving Day here at home with Pop and one of Jay's students. There was some tricycle-riding and lots of eating, but only one picture to prove that we really did celebrate.
The next day we went to Gran's house to celebrate with her side of the family. It was a little dicey since Kentucky and Tennessee were playing football. Most of Gran's family lives in Kentucky, so I had to represent with the orange jersey. The elf hat is just for effect.
Gran had lots of cooking to do and really needed our help. Clare just laid on the floor looking cute, but I got busy. Here I am crushing corn flakes for the hash brown casserole.
And here I am helping Gran mix the cole slaw. I'm not sure it would have all gotten done if I hadn't been there.
The next morning after breakfast I helped Gran pick out my Christmas presents. She did a good job, by the way.
